Ducal Penina Sontia Brut 🇸🇮 This Slovenian Ducal Penina Sontia Brut 🇸🇮 This Slovenian Ducal Penina Sontia Brut from Styria is a blend of two varieties: Chardonnay and Renski Riesling. This sparkling wine is produced using the traditional method, maturing on the lees in steel for 6 months and in the bottle for 24 months. It has a straw colour and a fine, long-lasting perlage. The aroma is dominated by notes of green apple, citrus, apricot and peach, subtly complemented by hints of bread and almonds. On the palate, it is crisp and well balanced, with a refreshing finish. Exceptional acidity delights from the first sip. The aftertaste is mineral, long and very pleasant. San Cucufate Altos del Viso 2019 DO Ribera del Due San Cucufate Altos del Viso 2019 DO Ribera del Duero 🇪🇸🍷🍷 @sancobate San Cobate was founded in 2016 by Antonio Vázquez Muñoz-Calero (Señorío de Nava, VILE La Finca), but its history stretches far beyond this project. Today, the San Cobate vineyards occupy the site where, as early as the 11th century, Benedictine monks built the San Cucufate monastery and began cultivating vines in its fields. This wine is based on Tempranillo, hand-harvested from a small mountain plot in Altos del Viso (1.3 hectares) at an altitude of 910 metres, where the cooler climate encourages slow ripening and keeps freshness. San Cucufate has a dark cherry-red colour with garnet reflections. The nose is aromatically complex, dominated by red and black fruits – cherries, raspberries, and blackberries – as well as spices, tobacco, and balsamic notes. The palate is full, intense, and structured, yet very fresh and mineral. In addition to the fruit, chalky notes are clearly perceptible.
