Tentenublo Escondite del Ardacho Las Guillermas 20 Tentenublo Escondite del Ardacho Las Guillermas 2019 DOCa Rioja (40% Tempranillo, 60% Viura) 🇪🇸🍷🍷 @robertentenublo Roberto Oliván is a small producer from Rioja. His Tentenublo winery is located near the village of Viñaspre in Rioja Alavesa, at the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria. Tentenublo’s vineyards (approx. 10 hectares) are planted on marl and limestone soils at an altitude of around 400–500 metres above sea level. Combined with the breezy mountain climate, these conditions favour wines with pronounced freshness and a distinct mineral character. Escondite del Ardacho is a series of single-vineyard wines. Las Guillermas is a marvellous, light red made from a blend of Tempranillo and Viura (40/60) sourced from a single 0.62-hectare plot with vines around 70 years old. Whole-cluster fermentation takes place in open vats of various sizes, followed by nine months of ageing in used French oak. The wine is bottled unfiltered and unfined. This wine is pure poetry with a touch of freshness. A wonderful, airy Rioja with expressive aromas of violets, apples, and ripe red and black fruits such as blueberries, cherries, and plums, accented by a hint of earthy spice. The palate bursts with vibrant fruit freshness, supported by soft, delicate tannins and lively acidity that dances across the palate. Well-structured and medium-bodied, with a silky texture and a long, fruity finish. #rioja #robertoolivan #tentenublo #winetasting #facetikuchnia
